STARCO Owner Peer Ejlersgaard has died

Peer was the owner of the international wheel and tyre company STARCO based outside Aarhus, Denmark, which he took over from his parents Ellen and Poul Ejlersgaard in 2000.

Taking the role as Chairman in STARCO in the beginning of 2014, Peer handed over the daily operation to the management team. He maintained his position as a great mentor, advisor and leader for the everyone in the company, which has 750 employees globally.

Peer was a generous man and spend his time on the things he felt important. He brought energy and spirit wherever he was, and a part from STARCO he was passionate about horses and family life around his farm Kirstineholm in Højbjerg, Aarhus.

Peer was larger than life and will be missed by family, friends, STARCO employees and colleagues in the industry. Although Peer was for many years the leader of STARCO, he was also a friend and treated the employees as part of one large family, the Starconian family. It is difficult to understand that he is not with us anymore. The team will work even harder to ensure that STARCO’s and Peer’s legacy continues for generations to come. Together the team is determined to make him proud.

Carl Evald Bakke-Jacobsen, who has been acting as Vice Chairman in STARCO since 2014, will become Chairman, and the management team headed by CEO Richard Todd which will remain unchanged.

Peer Ejlersgaard leaves his wife Hanne Bruun Ejlersgaard and their two sons, Philip and Christian. Our thoughts and condolences go to Peers family.
