STARCO to expand Polish facilities
STARCO’s turnover in Poland increased more than 40% from 2016 to 2018. Despite a 30% growth in assemblies during 2018, there is a lack of capacity to meet the growing demand from Polish OEM customers. Therefore, STARCO will invest in expanding the Polish facilities with new warehouse buildings.
STARCO anticipates that the increase from the existing 2,500 m2 to 5,500 m2 will cover the requirements for the coming 3-4 years. The 1.5 mEUR building expansions will be built on land already owned by STARCO, and the company expects the new warehouse to be in operation before the end of 2019.
“It’s really nice to feel our success amongst customers. However, we have a lack of space that does not allow a continued growth, so it’s great we can expand our facility and grow our team,” says Anna Mieszkowska, Customer Excellence Director at STARCO Poland.
The growth in Poland, primarily comes from the Agricultural and Trailer segments – but also the Industrial and Utility & Ground Care segments. STARCO expects an increase in sales in Poland on approximately 50% in 2020 compared to 2018.
