Tapping into the Polish market distributing KENDA PCR tyres
After a successful three years of distributing KENDA passenger car tyres (PCR) in Switzerland, the opportunity has opened to expand in the Polish market.
Since STARCO was acquired by KENDA in 2017, we have been strengthening our synergies through joint projects. Although at STARCO we are still strongly focusing on OEM, we are also present in some selected aftermarket areas in line with KENDA’s PCR tyre strategy in Europe.
Our distribution centre in Poland has expanded with 3,000 m2 in the last two years in order to be able to supply the increased customer demand of larger OEM companies. Utilising the space and the infrastructure in Mielec, we are now tapping into the Polish market with the addition of KENDA PCR tyres for the aftermarket.
Wojciech Woliński, the responsible sales manager for KENDA PCR tyres in Poland is very positive about this opportunity:

STARCO is following a multi-channel strategy to market the KENDA PCR tyres. They were already introduced to the First Stop network, an excellent opportunity to kick-off this summer season.
Kenda being an independent tyre manufacturer ensures a competitive and stable position when it comes to supply chain. The now 5,500 m2 facility in Poland contributes to effective distribution and provides warehouse space. Furthermore, KENDA and STARCO’s combined knowledge in wheel and tyre performance makes us a strong development partner, as well. At the KENDA R&D centre in Germany, tyre solutions are especially designed for European roads.
Our portfolio in Poland includes 14-19” PCR, SUV and 4×4 tyres currently in summer season, soon to be completed with a comprehensive winter as well as all-season tyre range specifically tailored to the European market, available from August 2021.
