We have been a pioneering force in the wheel and tyre industry since 1961. Today, we are market leaders in some of our fields of expertise and markets. Just like back in the days, we still have a great team bound by a passion to develop, manufacture and deliver clever wheel and tyre solutions.

1961

Founded

1962

STARCO acquires C. G. Enterprises Ltd. (British subsidiary).

1995

STARCO acquires Hwa Fong Handels GmbH (German subsidiary).

2001

STARCO establishes in Poland and our Eastern Group.

2002

Starts up in Russia and opens new factory in Croatia.

2004

Acquires subsidiary in Belgium and starts up STARCO Sweden.

2005

Expansion in various countries.

2006

Expansion in Russia – and new subsidiary in Ukraine.

2008

Acquires subsidiary in France.

2011

New factory in Sri Lanka.

2012

Central warehouse in Winsen, relocated from Lüneburg Germany, and starts up in South Africa.

2015

New management team in place. Peer Ejlersgaard was part of the board until his sudden death in 2016.

2016

Primary aftermarket activity sold off to Bohnenkamp. STARCO exits South Africa too, and later STARCO phases out most replacement market activity in remaining countries. Focus in on OEM customers and national distributors.

2017

On 31st March 2017, STARCO phases out all traditional replacement activity except in the UK, sales of solid tyres for fork lift trucks in Poland, aftersales services of trailer and caravan assemblies in Benelux, and sales of dual wheel solutions and made-to-measure across Europe.

2017

STARCO joins the Kenda Group.

2018

STARCO divests the Sri Lankan factory.
