STARCO marks an important milestone with the relocation to a brand new production facility
A more sustainable set-up
“Investing in a new plant gives us the chance to gradually double the production capacity and provide room for innovation and development of new products to support STARCO’s growth in other strategic segments,” says Vladimir Yeliseyev, Purchase Director at STARCO who has been closely working with the STARCO Huanmei joint venture for over a decade.
“The new factory is designed to meet the latest standards and environmental regulations, which support the company efforts towards a sustainable business model.”
Expanding to meet a growing demand
The Trailer and Caravan segment has been STARCO’s biggest and most successful segment in the past years. We have achieved a significant growth due to own production of both wheels and tyres as well as strategic distribution and assembly facilities. These conditions have allowed us to efficiently supply our OEM customers who were thus able to meet the market requirement. We have been looking at solutions to expand the manufacturing site and increase capacity to meet the growing demand.
Strategic location in a picturesque area
The brand-new production facility is located just outside the greater Hangzhou area, three hours away from Shanghai, in a picturesque valley between the green hills of Zhejiang province.
“This is a new chapter in the history of STARCO Huanmei”
The traditional Chinese opening ceremony was held two weeks ago and the factory is expected to be in full operation by mid October.
